Tinchy Stryder and Dionne Bromfield record Torch Relay song
Two of the UK’s brightest young talents have teamed up to record an official London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay song.
The singers, who worked together for the first time on the London 2012 song, pose with the Torch outside of the Olympic Stadium.
‘Spinnin’ For 2012′ by Tinchy Stryder and Dionne Bromfield is the first song to be released in association with the Games, and will create the soundtrack to the Olympic Flame’s 8,000 mile journey around the UK.
Originally written and recorded by Speech Debelle, the song has been re-written to produce inspirational lyrics which aim to bring alive the youthful focus of the Relay and the 8,000 inspirational Torchbearers.
24-year-old Tinchy Stryder, currently riding high in the charts with single ‘Spaceship’, is not only a chart-topping artist but also a fashion entrepreneur and music industry mogul.
Dionne Bromfield has wowed critics since debuting as a 13-year-old and has become known for her unique musical style. She can currently be seen presenting the BBC‘s 13-part youth programme ‘Friday Download’.
The Olympic Torch Relay will begin at Land’s End on 19 May 2012 and makes its way across the UK, bringing the excitement of the Games to everyone. It will conclude at the Olympic Stadium, where it arrives on 27 July for the Opening Ceremony.
