London 2012 Olympics tickets: Resale starts this week

As London is all set to host the biggest sporting event in 2012, the demand for tickets is at an all time high.  This has led to some amount of confusion with some getting their tickets and a majority not getting theirs.  You would be amazed to note that a good two thirds of the sports enthusiasts have not received their tickets.  This has led to wide spread despair and anger.  But, you have all the reasons to cheer as the Olympic authorities have called for another round of resale of Olympic tickets.

You would be delighted to know that the dates for the resale of Olympic tickets have announced by LOCOG, an enterprise that would be looking and conducting the resale of remaining tickets.  For all those who were unable to procure tickets in the first round, they would be able to avail the tickets on a first cum served basis.  A record 2.3 million Olympic tickets would be available to all the eager sports fans in the second round.  The sale of tickets would be starting on June 24th at 6am and would continue till July 17th.

During the second round, the first ten days of ticket sales are exclusively allotted for those who applied for tickets in the first round and were unsuccessful in procuring them.  This special offer would close on July 3 at 6pm.  The London 2012 Olympics website has an interesting list of events for which the tickets are available.  You would be surprised to note that a good half a million Olympic tickets are priced at a modest 20 pounds or even less.  It has been decided that around 1.5 million tickets would be priced at fifty pounds or less than that.

Those who already have procured their Olympic tickets can also buy additional tickets from July 8.  There is some great news coming up as LOCOG has informed that a good one million tickets would be available to the residents of Britain from December 2011.  This would be mainly from the tickets returned by the clients and the release of contingency tickets.  It is heartening to note that tickets are available for three hundred and eleven sessions.  You would be delighted to note that tickets are also available for forty four medal events.  To name a few, they would be Volley ball, Table Tennis, Swimming, Weightlifting, Football, Handball, Basketball, Judo, Hockey, Wrestling and many more events.

Please note that special prices have been allotted to sixty sessions.  Thirty three sessions are allotted for football and twenty seven for various other sports.  You would be able to buy six tickets for one session and you are allowed to apply for maximum three sessions.  For Race Walk, Volleyball and Football, you can buy more tickets for more sessions.

You would be notified within forty eight hours whether your request for Olympic tickets has been approved.  You need to pay for the tickets after the whole procedure is over, which usually takes around ten days.  You will be duly notified about the transaction and purchase of ticket.  So, what are you waiting for? Go and get your tickets as the second round offers plenty of opportunities to witness the biggest event on earth.
