Tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games are now available to fans worldwide through various sales channels depending on your country of residence. Applications for tickets to the Paralympic Games will open on 9 September 2011 through similar processes and channels.

Residents of the UK

Tickets are available on this website for people who are aged 16 and over and are a resident of the UK or a designated European country. London 2012 also welcomes applications from UK Armed Forces.

For the purposes of ticket sales for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, UK residents are defined as:

• Those who live in: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), the Isle of Man; or
• Those who live in a UK Overseas Territory: Gibraltar, Anguilla, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, Falkland Islands, Montserrat, Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands, St Helena and St Helena Dependencies (Ascension and Tristan da Cunha), South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia and The Turks and Caicos Islands.

UK residents who do not wish to apply for tickets online can do so using the paper ticket application form which is contained in the Official Ticketing Guide, which can be collected from your local Lloyds TSB branch (or Bank of Scotland in Scotland only) and your local library in Northern Ireland.

Residents of designated European countries

If you are a resident of one of the countries below, you are eligible to apply for tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games on this website now and for the Paralympic Games from 9 September 2011:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Alternatively, you can apply for tickets via your local National Olympic Committee (NOC), National Paralympic Committee (NPC) or appointed Authorised Ticket Reseller (ATR). A full list of contact details for all NOCs and ATRs is given below. A full list of NPCs and their ATRs will be available later in 2011.

Residents outside the UK or designated European countries

If you are not a resident of the UK or a designated European country, regardless of citizenship, you will need to apply for tickets via your National Olympic Committee (NOC) or National Paralympic Committee (NPC). Some NOCs or NPCs may appoint an Authorised Ticket Reseller (ATR) in order to help the general public obtain tickets and services relating to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. A full list of contact details for all NOCs and ATRs is given below. A full list of NPCs and their ATRs will be available later in 2011.

All Authorised Ticket Resellers (ATRs) will identify themselves through the use of the official London 2012 Authorised Ticket Reseller logo. In accordance with rules set out by London 2012, all ATRs must:

• State the territory in which they have been appointed to sell tickets.
• Limit their servicing mark-up fee to 20% of the ticket’s face value (up to a maximum of 40 British Pounds sterling per ticket).
• Apply a fair and justifiable exchange rate.
• Make it clear that the only additional charge related to the ticket sale is for delivery at a fair cost and only if tickets are shipped.
• Provide each customer with an itemised purchase receipt detailing the full breakout of all charges: tickets, permitted servicing mark-up and shipping.
• Post the London 2012 ticket prices (at face value) in British Pounds on their website.
• Post London 2012′s terms and conditions of ticket purchase and spectator rules on their website and communicate clearly to all ticket purchasers.
• Provide all customers with general information about London 2012 including where to source the latest travel information.

If you do not find your country listed here, it means that your country’s National Olympic Committee has not yet finalised its arrangements to offer tickets in your country. As London 2012′s list of agents is continually updated, please check back in future to see if an appointment has been made. London 2012 is committed to ensuring people in all countries have the opportunity to buy tickets for the Olympic Games. If no agent is provided by December 2011, London 2012 will offer a solution to enable you to buy tickets.
